Homemade Italian Meat Sauce

Yum
Ingredients
1.5 lbs - Ground Chuck 80/20
1 lb - Sweet Italian Sausage
1 - Large Yellow Onion (chopped)
1 - Large Bell Pepper (chopped)
1 - Large Garlic Cloves (minced)
3 Cups - Sliced Mushrooms
3 - 15 oz Canned Diced Tomatoes
1 - 28 oz Can Tomato Sauce
2 - Bay Leaves
1 TBS - Granulated Garlic
1 TBS - Granulated Onion
1 TBS - Oregano
1 TBS - Basil
1 tsp - Sugar
1/2 tsp - Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 tsp - Salt

Directions
1. In a large pan brown beef and sausage for 7-8 minutes (does not need to be fully cooked)
2. Add onions, peppers, garlic and mushrooms and saute' for 10 minutes until the mushrooms cook down by half.
3.  Add the remaining ingredients, thoroughly stir and return to a simmer.
4.  Simmer for 3 hours with the lid on.
